Water Control/Beginner Level B

Private Lesson (1 on 1) - $180 Per Hour

This two-hour kiteboarding lesson is taught entirely on the water and allows you to experience the true power of the kite. This is the next step in order to get up and stand up. All gear necessary to safely and effectively learn to kiteboard is included during this lesson (i.e. kites, boards, impact/flotation vests, helmets and harnesses). Students are responsible for their personal apparel (i.e. wetsuits, watershoes, gloves, hoods, rashguards, boardshorts). esD is an authorized dealer for O'Neill and Neil Pryde, stocks many apparel items in our shop and offers low student pricing should a student require additional gear.

Skills you will be taught:
- Body dragging using a kiteboarding harness
- Untwisting the lines with the kite in the air
- Activating the safety quick release
- Controlling the kite with one hand while hooked into the harness
- Body dragging hooked into the harness
- Re-launching the kite in the water
- Performing self-rescues
- Body dragging upwind

In preparation for your lesson, please fill out and submit the two student registration forms below. Once on file, you will begin receiving wind notification emails to inform you when conditions are suitable for kiteboarding lessons so you can select the available date and time that best works with your schedule.

    Kite board instruction

    Posted by J. on 7th May 2017

Greg is a great teacher and will motivate you to help you succeed. He is very enthusiastic about kite boarding. He does his best to accomplish the goals he has set for the session. He provides a great teaching session in a safe environment. Safety is a primary concern and he will teach self rescue during this session as well. All this is done to move you through the process and eventually get you flying the kite safely in the water. I highly recommend Greg.
